Introduction :

The history of this magnificent mansion has been, to say the least eventful.
In fact, it experienced two area.
It was built by " Jean de Pin " advise to the parlement of Toulouse and bishop of Rieux in the 16th century.
Here no monumental tower in many other Toulouse mansions.
This is due to the fact that " Jean de Pin " is inspired by the architecture he saw upon his return from his trip in Italy.
Considered one of the greatest humanits of the Toulouse renaissance.
The history of the mansion :

It had two periods, since the first private mansion, ' The Hotel le Pin " , was demolished with the advent of Hausmannain style architecture in Toulouse.
In 1542 it was acquired by " Jean de Nolet " who put " Nicolas Bachelier " to work on its reconstruction and enlargement.
In any case, he will be sold many times until " Siant Felix " forced to emigrate in the revolution.
It's good will all be seized and sold.
In 1775, the letter pos was establihed and in 1843, it was the general receipt.
In july 1870, the Antonin couple bought the " Hotel des Pins " and requested the aligment of the facade.
At this moment, it will be called the " Mansion Saint-Antonin " .
Luckily and this what makes this mansion so magnificent, the magnificent arcaded galleries were rebuilt at the back of the courtyard and were not demolished .
It is they who, in 1903 will undertake the complete reconstruction of this magnificent mansion in the Italian Renaissance-Style, which has nothing to envy of its Italian counterparts.
The building :
I went thought two periods, a demolition of the " Hotel des Pins " and a reconstruction of " mansion Saint-Antonin ".
Mansion des Pins : 16th. century.
It construction began in the 16th. century.
It was therefore " Jean de Pin " who built the first private mansion.
It is a Renaissance residence and the time it was the first Renaissance mansion in Toulouse, which at the time with is arcades was considered a real palace.
It is characterized by Renaissance style, medaillon portraits which are evocations of ancient currency.
She represents the family who own the mansion.
At the level of the cornices, lion's muzzles serve as gargoyles.
When I did the owners of leaves were passed between the architect and the owner.
Establishment of a large shop counter under cellar and one passage Chapeliers Street.
Creation of gargoyles and windows on the facade.

The destruction of the " Mansion des Pins " took place during the advent of the Hausmann architectural mouvement in Toulouse.
The mansion " Saint-Antonin ":

Luckily, in 1870, the mansion was bought by a noble family from Toulouse the Antonin couple.
They rebuild a second private mansion will in place of the first ...it's name " mansion Saint-Antonin " .
This mansion is U-shaped and mixes Toulouse bricks, stone and bossage.
The Antonines only kept the Renaissance style arcade.
The new " Saint-Antonin " mansion built by " Thilliet " and designed based on the 16th. century double gallery which is one two levels.
The double gallery in place today is made up of the second arcades of the west gallery by " Nolet " on the ground floor and the eight arcades of the south and on the upper floor or the eight arcades of the south facade of " Jean de Pin " .
Under the arcades a medaillons bears the coast of arms of ' Jean Nolet " .
On the first floor, you can see arcades with bust medals in bas relief.
At the upper part there are four arcades decorated and divided by lonic pilasters.
The building which develope aroud the courtyard presents traditional architectural charactersitics and new materials.

The first floor windows are inscribed with an archway.
Above the gallery, the window frames are characterized by the alternation of Toulouse brick and stone.
The corners are occupied by ears mixing metal and glass architecture.
At this level, the white glass roofs present unique to Toulouse are quite remarkable.
The street side elevation abandon the neo-renaissance style for the more Hausmann style with shops on the ground floor, mezzanine and two floors.
There are numerous garlands and foliage on the facade.
Adress : 46, Languedoc Street 31 000 Toulouse.
